Changing Program

Dickinson Public Schools, Southwest Distric Health Unit, Dickinson State University Nursing Department, and West Dakota Parent and Family Resource Center will present the Changing Program for 5th and 6th grade students and their parents. The Changing Program is a puberty unit that will teach your child age-appropriate facts and the physical changes that will occur during puberty in a gentle, supportive way. We all believe that parents play the most important role in helping children through this exciting and sometimes confusing time. The 5th and 6th grade is an ideal time to present the facts, so that your child is aware of the many changes that accompany the transition from childhood to adolescence.

Parent nights are offered before program implementation to introduce the Changing Program.

This is a program provided in partnership with parents and families. The consent of parent/guardian is required for participation.
