About the DPS School Board

Dickinson Public Schools is governed by a school board of education, comprising five members who serve four-year terms. The Board guides the district through policy, employing a leadership model known as coherent governance, with the Superintendent as the Chief Executive Officer.  The Board's primary role is to formulate district policies, advise the Superintendent, employ personnel, and make specific school decisions. The Board meets monthly in public sessions to discuss district business.

The Board establishes intended outcomes for student results and holds the Superintendent accountable for those results.
