Free/Reduced Meals Information 

The North Dakota Free and Reduced-Price Meals Program helps ensure that all students have access to healthy, nutritious meals, regardless of household income.

On this page, families can find and download the current application forms, learn about income eligibility guidelines, and access instructions for submitting forms online, in-person, or by mail. All information is kept confidential, and we encourage all families to apply, even if you’re unsure whether you qualify.

Applications are accepted throughout the school year. If your household income changes or your family circumstances change, you may apply or reapply at any time.

Income Eligibility Guidelines

Use the Income Eligibility Guidelines below to determine whether your household may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. If you're unsure, we encourage you to submit an application.

2026–2027 Free & Reduced Meal Applications

Applications for the 2026–2027 school year are accepted on the following schedule:

• Paper Applications: Available and accepted beginning July 1, 2026
• Online Applications: Available beginning August 1, 2026
