Scholarships

The Dickinson Public Schools Foundation manages several scholarships.  Scholarship applications are available in the Dickinson High School counselors office or you can download a scholarship from our website.

A former Dickinson High student created a “Rewarding Kindness” scholarship.  This is an exciting opportunity for a graduating senior that shows respect and kindness.

Fong Family Trust Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Lola Fong and her family. It is a $500 scholarship which is intended to help a DHS senior that is going to school for automotive or a related field (tech or trade school, certification or licensure program). Possible examples include, but are not limited to: automotive technician, salesman, parts manager, etc.).

Rewarding Kindness Scholarship

This scholarship was established by a former Dickinson High School student who wanted to "give back" to a Dickinson High School graduating senior.  He said that life has been good to him and he has fond memories of his time at Dickinson High Schoo.  The Rewarding Kindness Scholarship was created to reward a student that is a "good" kid.

Jack L. Carlson Memorial Scholarship

The Jack Carlson family requested that the Dickinson Public Schools Foundation, Inc. include a scholarship fund in their programs. The scholarship fund provides an opportunity to assist graduating Dickinson High School students with their education. The Jack L. Carlson Memorial Scholarship is an annual $1,000 scholarship established by his family, in his honor, to continue his legacy "of making a difference in the lives of young kids." 

Michael Callahan Memorial Hockey Scholarship

The Michael Callahan Memorial Hockey Scholarship was established by the Callahan family in honor of their son, Michael. The scholarship is awarded annually to a Dickinson High School male or female hockey player who is furthering his education at a college or university in the fall. The scholarship fund provides an opportunity to assist graduating Dickinson High School students with their education.

Ruth Lenz Memorial Music Scholarship

The Lenz family has established an annual scholarship in honor of their wife and mother, Ruth. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a Dickinson High School music participant who will be furthering their education at a college or university in the fall and pursuing a career in the music field. The scholarship fund will provide an opportunity to assist graduating Dickinson High School students with their music education. The Ruth Lenz Memorial Music Scholarship is an annual $1,000 scholarship established by her family, in her honor, to continue Ruth's love of music. 

Jan Fields
Mrs. Fields Education Scholarship

An endowed scholarship has been established to honor Mrs. Fields (Jan Fields), a former second grade teacher in the school district for 38 years. Mrs. Fields was also a dedicated member of the Dickinson Public Schools Foundation, Inc. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a Dickinson High School senior that is pursuing a degree in education. The first scholarship will be awarded the Spring of 2023 in her honor.
