Jeff Whitehead

Teaching has been my passion for 30 years. I love children and have taught every age, from Toddlers to High school and college.
During my teaching time, I have been a college recruiter for DeVry University. My wife Valerie and I have created two schools during our marriage.

Twenty years in the Salt Lake City area, our school was a pioneer for Montessori Learning. Montessori at Riverton was the location where I taught middle school and was the School Administrator and Counselor. 
Ms. Valerie and I are the creators of Grasslands Montessori here in Dickinson. We continue to love and teach children of all ages year round. 

I have been very excited to share my talents and experience with Southwest Community High School. My love for the students and a desire to have them graduate has been a great opportunity here. 

I was blessed to have the opportunity to work in the Counseling offices in both Middle School and High School for 5 years in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona as an Educational Talent Search Advisor. There I was able to create post-high school opportunities for the students.

Ms. Valerie and I have a blended family of 10 children and 27 grandchildren. Our family and school responsibilities keep us very busy.
