DMS Students Present at DSU for National History Day

7th grade students presenting their project

7th grade students at Dickinson Middle School presented their incredible project exhibits for National History Day at Dickinson State University.

Each year, students from all over the country present research topics connected to the contest's theme. The 2022-2023 theme is "Frontiers in History." Students have spent a great deal of time creating their exhibits for this contest by analyzing primary and secondary sources.

Today the students presented their exhibits to judges from DSU and the Dickinson Museum Center. Projects from the Paralympics to the Women's Suffrage highlighted different examples of frontiers throughout history. 7th graders also took a tour of Lowman/Walton Hall, where the TR Library is, were given a tour of the DSU campus, and ended the day with lunch at "The Perch" in DSU's student center.

Each of these students will compete at State National History Day in Bismarck on April 28th—a big congratulations to all the 7th graders on their National History Day exhibit. Your projects were a reflection of your hard work and dedication!
