Baranko Brothers, Inc. is paving the way with a $1,000,000 donation to help establish a Heavy Equipment Operator Program at the Southwest Area CTE Academy. This program is the FIRST of its kind for high school students in North Dakota.
This program will give students an introduction and hands-on experience in basic equipment operation, maintenance, safety, communications, and surveying used in the construction industry.
The $1M donation will help bring to life the heavy equipment classroom space that will be equipped with state-of-the-art simulators that give students hands-on experience in a virtual setting. Once they master the simulated environment, they will move on to the outdoor application area, “the sandbox,” located in the center of the campus, providing real-world operator experience in a safe and controlled environment.
