12/16 5 AM UPDATE - Friday will be a virtual learning day!
Dear DPS Families,
Due to snow accumulation and poor road conditions around some of our schools, all schools will start two hours late tomorrow, Friday, December 16, to allow additional time for the city to clear roads and school areas.
Conditions can change rapidly, and we will continue to work with the city and county officials and communicate any changes for tomorrow by 6 am. Weather permitting, the city plans to continue residential snow removal starting early morning.
We understand that some areas are still difficult to travel. Please know we will work with our families who cannot get their child(ren) to school.
Please see below for important updates on tomorrow’s schedule.
- All rural bus routes are canceled Friday, December 16.
- AM residential busing canceled, but afternoon residential buses will run.
- The Early Childhood preschool morning session is canceled.
- RASP will run as usual.
- Schools will start at the following times:
- 10:05 am – 3:05 pm – Elementary Schools
- 10:00 am – 3:15 pm – Dickinson Middle School
- 10:15 am – 3:35 pm – Dickinson High School
