This summer marked a turning point for RASP, with a 37% increase in enrollment, a clear sign that families and students value connection, learning, and engagement year-round. RASP is rapidly becoming an essential part of students' growth beyond the classroom.
Our summer session was filled with energy, curiosity, and creativity. The increase in enrollment not only brought more smiling faces through our doors but also inspired our staff to expand offerings and find new ways to keep learning exciting and meaningful.
From learning and laughter to sunshine and splashes, our days were full of memories we’ll never forget. Students stayed active with a designated Gym Teacher, sharpened their skills during one-on-one tutoring sessions, and made a splash at the West River Community Center. They explored curiosity at Gateway to Science in Bismarck, took wild adventures to the Bismarck Zoo, and jumped for joy at the Bowman Trampoline Park. Creativity bloomed as they designed beautiful bouquets with Daph’s Floral, got soaked and silly at our Foam Party and Splash Pad days, and showcased their talents at our annual Talent Show, Spelling Bee, and Track Meet. We wrapped up the summer with a Lemonade Stand Fundraiser, where students donated their earnings to the local Foster for Em', a perfect reminder that kindness and community go hand in hand.
Building on that momentum, we’re thrilled to announce a new addition to our school-year afterschool RASP program: Waterford Early Learning tutoring. This innovative, research-based program provides individualized support in reading, math, and science for our younger learners (K–2). By integrating Waterford into our afterschool schedule, we’re giving students an extra boost in foundational skills while keeping learning interactive and fun.
Teachers and tutors are already seeing positive results — students are gaining confidence, building stronger academic habits, and developing a deeper love for learning. Parents have shared encouraging feedback about their children's progress, both academically and socially.
We’re proud of the growth we’ve seen and even more proud of the growth still to come. Whether during the summer or throughout the school year, our goal remains the same: to provide safe, enriching, and inspiring spaces where every student can thrive.
