RACTC Health Science SkillsUSA State Leadership conference was a huge success this year we had the following students place:
- Advisors: Jaclyn Guillaume, Sara Rhode, & Courtney Sadowsky
- First Aid/CPR - Anthony Tillman - GOLD
- Health Occupational Professional Portfolio - Brandon Tackett - GOLD
- Job Interview - Ahriana Pavlcek-Jones - BRONZE
- Health Knowledge Bowl -Brandon Tackett, Amarah Olheiser, Ariel Hecker, Anthony Tillman - BRONZE
- State Officers RACTC/DHS for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year – Bailey Binstock, Naomi Lefor, Elijah Ricks, Ella Sickler, and Amarah Olheiser
RACTC Chapter was also recognized with the Quality Chapter of Excellence and Chapter of Distinction Awards. Anthony Tillman and Brandon Tackett will be advancing to national SkillsUSA competitions this upcoming June in Atlanta, GA. Anthony Tillman is one of our seniors currently in the health occupations experience class at the SWCTE building and is completing an internship with the Dickinson Fire Department and plans to be enrolled in the Fire Science program at DSU in the fall. He states, "I have learned so much my senior year by being a SkillsUSA member and only wished I had joined sooner." Amarah Olheiser will continue into her senior year with her second term as a state officer. Brandon Tackett is also a senior and plans on attending the University of Mary this fall and pursuing a nursing degree.
Senior Irelynn Kuntz just passed her third and final required board exam toward earning her Qualified Dental Assisting certification. She will start to complete the process of earning her North Dakota Dental Assisting license. Irelynn has been an outstanding student and role model the past two years in the Dental Assisting program. She plans to pursue her education in dentistry and will be attending Minnesota State for Dental Hygiene.
