DPS Pantry and Clothing Closet

The Dickinson Pantry and Clothing Closest was created in 2017 by the Dickinson Public School Social Workers with the support of Dr. Sullivan. At its creation, the goal of the pantry was to provide supplemental food for district families who face food insecurity. Since its inception, the pantry has been able to add clothing, shoes, winter gear, and an annual school supply handout to its list of services. Annually, the pantry serves hundreds of Dickinson Public Schools Families and students.

The pantry and clothing closet is open weekly on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. or by appointment with your school social worker. This resource is available to any family that has a student enrolled in Dickinson Schools (Preschool-12th grade and including Southwest Community High School).

While we are honored to serve Dickinson Public Schools Families, we could use assistance with volunteers and donations. We cannot run our pantry without volunteers willing to staff open or organizational hours. We are in need of the following donations at this time:

  • Winter gear
  • Teen/men's clothing
  • Shoes (in good condition)
  • Food
  • New underwear and socks
  • Hygiene products and paper goods
  • We accept clothing donations of Preschool sizes and up.

Please contact your school social worker if you are interested in donating, volunteering, or fundraising for DPS Pantry and Clothing Closest. Please like us on Facebook at DPS School Social Workes for updates!
