Agriculture Education students receive “hands-on” learning with sheep lab held at the Dickinson State University indoor arena.
Mrs. Poland’s Intro to Agriculture class took part in a sheep showmanship lab during their livestock unit in November, supporting the FFA motto: “Learning to do, Doing to learn, Earning to live”. It is through cooperative educational programs with lab experiences that students gain the full benefit of CTE programs such as Agriculture Education. Intro to Agriculture is the first level of several agriculture classes offered at DHS, finishing with several upper-level, early-entry, complete classes offered in conjunction with Dickinson State University.
Dickinson FFA members place second in State Leadership and Development in two events.
