FFA Students with awards

October was filled with different exciting events for the Dickinson FFA, including many competitions. Dickinson High Schools FFA Chapter Advances three teams to the state leadership and development event in Bismarck, ND.

District Leadership Competition:

FFA Chapters from around the area competed in several leadership events at the FFA District 8 Leadership and Development conference held on Oct. 6, 2021, at the Dickinson State University Campus.

The top two finalists in every event advance to the State Finals to be held in Bismarck on Nov. 22 at the State Capital and Heritage center.

Highlight for Dickinson High School’s FFA chapter:

FFA Creed (1st place) recited by Bailey Binstock, qualifying for the state competition.

Demonstration (1st place) titled “How to Pack a Pack” Nova (Sage) Morton and Kadence Reindel. Both qualified for the state competition.

Extemporaneous public speaking (2nd) Rylie Dohrmann, qualifying for the state competition.

The Parliamentary Procedure team won the silver team award, with Rachel Thompson (Treasurer) placing gold individually. FFA team members Rylie Dohrmann (Pres), Isaac Binstock (VP), Jaedyn Russell (Sec.), Bailey Binstock (reporter), and Kate Enney (Sentinel).  Leah Nauman competed in Employment Skills.
