About DPS
Dickinson Public Schools is the largest employer in the city of Dickinson with almost 800 staff members providing services to 4,100 students.
DPS consists of eleven schools governed by a board of five members:
- 1 High School (Grades 9-12)
- 1 Alternative High School (Grades 9-12)
- 1 Middle School (Grades 6-8)
- 6 Elementary Schools (Grade K-5)
- 2 Online Schools (K-8 & 9-12)
Since 2009, Dickinson Public Schools has grown by over 1,200 students. While growth has slowed, we are projecting an increase of almost 500 students by 2023. Our goal is to continue to hire team members who are well-educated and inspired to serve all students.

Our teacher salary is one of the highest in the state of North Dakota. The salary range per the 2022-2023 Professional Negotiated Agreements is $45,534 – $74,810.
All Dickinson Public Schools operate as Professional Learning Communities and implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
All schools are accredited by AdvancED, a non-profit organization that conducts rigorous reviews of K-12 schools and school systems.
