Welcome to Dickinson Public Schools

Dickinson Public Schools is the largest employer in the city of Dickinson with approximately 700 staff members providing services to over 4,400 students Pre-K-12.

DPS consists of thirteen schools governed by a board of five members:

  • 1 High School (Grades 9-12)
  • 1 Alternative High School (Grades 9-12)
  • 1 Career & Technical Education Academy (9-12)
  • 1 Middle School (Grades 6-8)
  • 6 Elementary Schools (Grade K-5)
  • 2 Online Schools (K-8 & 9-12) 
  • 1 Early Childhood Preschool Program

Since 2009, Dickinson Public Schools has grown by over 1,400 students. Our goal is to continue to hire team members who are well-educated and inspired to serve all students.

Our teacher salary is one of the highest in the state of North Dakota. The salary range per the 2022-2023 Professional Negotiated Agreements is $45,534 – $74,810.

All Dickinson Public Schools operate as Professional Learning Communities and implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

All schools are accredited by AdvancED, a non-profit organization that conducts rigorous reviews of K-12 schools and school systems.
