The Dickinson Public Schools Foundation awarded $47,444.74 to grant recipients for the 2022-2023 Annual Teacher Grant Program. On Tuesday, board members surprised the lucky award recipients at different school locations.

The Foundation funds projects that enrich the quality of education that go above and beyond what the district provides. Here is the list of the award recipients and their projects :

  • 5th Grade Career Day (District Elementary - Amanda Jilek) - $1,150
  • Citizenship & Civics (Dickinson Adult Learning Center - Melinda Obach, Beth Hurt, Dina Pavlicek) - $1,650
  • Breathe for Change Yoga (Dickinson High School - Rachael Sisson) - $1,995
  • Communication Boards for Playgrounds (DPS School Psychologists - Christa Enebo, Amber Fridley, and Madi Knodel) - $2,250
  • Bookworm Vending Machine – ( Berg Elementary School - Kristi Foster, Troy Kuntz, and Kassie Machovsky) $9,700
  • District Family Code Night – (Lincoln Elementary Dickinson ND - Tammy Peterson) $13,144
  • LMS to AASL – (District Library Media Specialist - Susan Moberg, Troy Kuntz, and Marisa Riesinger) $17,255
