It's #NationalSTEMDay, and we have some exciting news!
Please help us congratulate Lincoln Elementary Marisa Riesinger on receiving a $2,500 grant from Marathon Oil to attend the North Dakota Innovation Academy! Principal Tammy Peterson nominated her for the grant, and she will be the team leader for Lincoln.
According to the ND Council of Education Leaders, the ND Innovation Academy will equip participants to access resources and begin immediately making small steps that can lead to big change, as well as planning for long-term system change.
The training is impactful and sustained over a 6-day curriculum focused on four "Big Shifts" that deeper learning schools make:
- Higher Level Thinking
- Student Agency
- Authentic Work
- Technology Infusion
