Health Science SkillsUSA Host Blood Drive with Vitalant

Students posing at blood drive, with one of the students giving blood

To obtain a Level 2 Chapter of Excellence and for the Health Science SkillsUSA program in general, we needed to choose a community event. This year, we chose to host a blood drive with Vitalant, in which we were able to collect around 30 donations from our remarkable students and staff here at Dickinson High School. In accordance with the blood drive, our RACTC Health Science SkillsUSA chapter has also been able to raise over $3,000 from our recent butter braid sale in November, and hopefully much more with future fundraisers.

We are currently selling the world's most famous chocolates until January 10th, so get them while you can! Our next focus for our chapter will be preparing for State Competitions that will be held in Bismarck in April of 2024. We want to thank all of those who donated blood and those who helped with the event.

Thank you to all the patrons for making the blood drive a success on behalf of Kadence Heisler, along with her advisors Courtney Sadowsky, Sara Rhode, Jaclyn Guillaume, and her chapter peers.
