Q: Do my students have to use Career Compass to apply to college?
A: No, however, if your students would like to talk to an admissions rep while they’re applying or have questions, Career Compass is the only way they are able to communicate with the college. They can call of course, but the chat is there for this purpose.
Q: The application is asking me to pay, how do I know if the code worked?
A: You will know the code worked if you are not prompted to select a payment method, such as “pay by check” or “pay later.”

UND and NDSU applicants will have to select “request a waiver” and enter the code at the end of the app.

If the student is STILL prompted to pay, students must go back to the high school history page and make sure they used the “lookup” feature properly. This is the #1 error that we see students encounter on the app. This feature and the code are what allow the application to be successfully submitted without payment.
Q: Do students have to apply during our school’s designated day?
A: No, students may apply anytime, day or night, between October 1st and October 31st. Please communicate the code with them and make sure that they have the tutorials if they want to do it on their own time.
