Grade 10: Child Development & Basic Psych
These classes provide an understanding of children from conception to school-age, and brain development and behavior.

Grade 11: Introduction to Teaching
These classes provide an understanding of the principles of teaching and learning, and leadership, human relations skills, and teaching strategies.

Students may be placed in the school system for on-the-job career experience any time after completion of the CORE segment.

Grade 12: DSU Intro to Ed. & Work-Based Learning
DSU Intro to Ed. - A study of teaching as a profession, including historical, philosophical, social, and psychological foundations of education. This course will provide a general overview of all aspects of the teaching profession and serve as a general introduction to all professional education courses.

Work Based Learning - Application required for this class. Application for this class is found on the DHS website under Programs/CTE/Work-based Learning. Students will receive work experience in the elementary, middle school, or special education department.
