Sara Streeter

Principal

Mrs. Streeter believes that all children can learn at high levels!  She believes that with hard work and perseverance we can help each child become successful academically and as a world citizen.  Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents.  Mrs. Streeter feels that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a child attain his or her full potential. 

Mrs. Streeter has been involved in education for over 16 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from The University of North Dakota.  She later pursued further studies in Language Arts & Reading Recovery at The University of North Dakota and received her Master's Degree of Education.  She obtained her Educational Leadership certificate at the Minnesota State University of Moorhead.   

Mrs. Streeter has taught kindergarten and first-grade classes in Grand Forks, ND.  She also became a Title I/Reading Recovery teacher in the Grand Forks Public School System.  During her tenure with Grand Forks Public schools she worked tirelessly to ensure high student achievement in the areas of reading and writing.  Her most recent position was as a Reading Recovery teacher with Wilder Elementary School and as an instructional leader in the area of language arts and multi-tiered support services or response to intervention.  

Mrs. Streeter has been involved and chaired numerous committees throughout her career.  She was served in various coordinator roles, including her tenure with Ben Franklin Elementary School as a critical piece of the North Dakota Department of Public Instructions upscaling of RTI/MTSS as the ND Demonstration School team member.  

Mrs. Streeter is a very visible principal and she states that the best part of her job is visiting the students in all areas of the school.  She looks forward to getting to know every student and their family and every student and family getting to know her.
