Lutheran Social Services offers a variety of programs in Dickinson!
- Family Coaching provides family centered coaching to assist with increasing family stability during tough times.
- Healthy Families is a home visiting program designed to support families as they become parents.
- Divert provides brief solution-focused family therapy and other supportive services to youth and their families.
Self-referrals are encouraged. Appointments are scheduled by phone.

The Sunrise Youth Bureau works with young people under the age of 18 who have come in contact with the law or are experiencing personal, family, or school problems. Sunrise Youth Bureau offers classes, workshops, attendance care, and more.

Roughrider North Human Services Zone has professionals on site who can help people in need of services and supports, including:
- Public assistance/financial help
- Child welfare (foster care, child protection, in-home case management)

Head Start and Early Head Start of Dickinson provide services for children ages 0-5.
The Early Head Start program enrolls expectant mothers and provides them with education and resources to prepare for the birth of their infant.
Dickinson Early Head Start Center provides high-quality early care and education for eligible families with children ages birth to three years.

AMEN (Association to Meet Emergency Needs) is a food pantry serving people in the Dickinson area with supplemental food needs. *No referral needed.

The Dickinson BackPack Program provides hungry children with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food on weekends and school breaks. Contact your school's social worker to sign up!

The DPS Pantry and Closet is available to any family with a child in Dickinson Public Schools. Clothing and food are available, with limited sizes of winter gear available. Coats for Kids is distributing winter gear through the House of Manna, 1100 E Villard Street. There is no cost to families.
When: Tuesday from 2:00-4:30 PM

Community Action Partnership provides services, education, and resources to help individuals and families achieve or maintain self-sufficiency. Programs include housing stabilization, utility assistance, weatherization, and temporary financial assistance. Call Community Action to schedule an appointment!

Dickinson Public Schools collaborates with United Way of Dickinson to help families who do not qualify for free/reduced lunches but need extra help paying for school meals. Any family with a child in Dickinson Public Schools is eligible to apply.

Badlands Human Service Center provides help to individuals and families dealing with personal and emotional problems, family and relationship issues, mental illness, addictions, other disabilities, and other needs.
OPEN ACCESS walk-in Behavioral Health Assessments - Supporting individuals in their time of need. No appointment needed.
- Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. MT
- How it works:
- Individuals who want to be assessed for behavioral health need, simply walk-in and inform front desk staff.
- They meet with a triage specialist and the business office.
- They are connected to services.
- People with acute, severe symptoms are served right away. Others may be served within one to several days or may be referred to other community behavioral health service providers.
