DHS Math Club

Dickinson High School's Math Club traveled to Bismarck to participate in the University of Mary Math Competition.

The members that attended were Samantha Harris (junior), Brandon Shutes (senior), Gus Zettel (senior) Evan Cole (junior), Radheeka Weeraratne (freshman), and Wesley Rae (sophomore).

Dickinson's "Z=4" team, comprised of Brandon, Gus, Radheeka, and Wesley, took place. Z=4 earned a 15 out of 20 on the team test tying with Century White; however, Dickinson triumphed over Century in the lightning round, breaking that tie to take home first.

Gus and Brandon earned honorable mention on the 11th and 12th grade individual test getting 8 of 15 correct-- only one correct answer behind the first-place individual. Wesley Rae came home victorious, bringing the place 9th and 10th grade individual plaques with a score of 13 out of 15 on the individual test and a record-tying score of 29 in the lightning round.

Congratulations to all! We are so proud of you.
