SkillsUSA Students Compete at National Conference

SkillsUSA held its National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 20-24 in Atlanta, GA, and Dickinson High School qualifiers came home with some great memories and impressive results!

More than 6,500 outstanding career and technical education students –– all state contest winners –– competed hands-on in 108 different trade, technical and leadership fields. DHS competed in Architectural Drafting, Power Equipment, and Prepared Speech.

  • Kelby Gion finished 7th out of 40 in Architectural Drafting.
  • Hunter Moreno finished 5th out of 21 in Power Equipment. He received an outstanding in 9 out of the ten stations of the competition.
  • Bailey Binstock finished 19th out of 42 in Prepared Speech.
  • Kate Enney participated as a voting delegate for the state of North Dakota and served on the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.”

Dickinson High School PowerSports program has placed in the top 5 at the National Level every year they have competed since 2016, and this is the highest national finish for Architectural Drafting for Dickinson High School.
