Mrs. Olson decided to take her FBLA leadership crew to the FBLA fall leadership conference in Milwaukee, WI. The students that went on the trip were: Alyssa Freer (DHS FBLA President) and Leah Nauman (DHS FBLA Secretary).
They did workshops on resumes, leadership, FBLA contest, and innovation. Students created a product from an object they got from a table during the innovation workshop. They choose playdoh and string. Their team came up with a dog/cat toy. After designing the product, they needed to create a presentation to sell to the judges' Shark Tank style.
The students and Mrs. Olson also enjoyed their free time! They went to Milwaukee Buck NBA games and toured the stadium, a science technology museum called Discovery World, and ate different ethnic foods. We also interviewed the management team for the Milwaukee Bucks and went to Milwaukee Market Place. Overall it was a great time, and the students learned about leadership and culture!
