Hello students,
I am the community outreach coordinator at Dickinson High School. I am responsible for selecting students for our entry-level dental assisting (ELDA) program along with the recommendations of your teachers and administrators. To be eligible you must be going into your junior year next school year, have your driver's license by the beginning of August (you will be responsible to drive yourself to and from your dental office), and have no to minimal behavior issues. It is a two-credit commitment both your junior and senior year as well as time in your junior year summer to get hours at your dental office, and it teaches you many skills such as working independently, technical ELDA skills, and many employability skills. It is hard work and will be the cause of much personal growth.
