Students from past years gather around the flag pole joined by heros from our community to commemorate Citizenship Day and Constitution Day.
On the morning of Friday, September 19th, students will participate in a schoolwide assembly outside by the flagpole to commemorate Citizenship Day and Constitution Day. Students learn the importance of community, citizenship, and the United States Constitution during this assembly. Part of practicing good citizenship is recognizing the impact of local heroes on your community. We will have representatives from state and local law enforcement, the North Dakota National Guard, and other local heroes who will begin arriving at Dickinson Middle School in the morning before school begins – they will be parked along the first driving lane. After school, ask your student/s about the assembly: ask if anything stood out to them or if they learned anything new. Thank you for continuing to support Dickinson Middle School.
