4 Schools Achieve HRS Level 3 and 4

Heart River Elementary Staff and DPS Superintendent with a cake to celebrate achieving HRS Level 4

We have excellent news to share!

All of our schools have worked hard this year to drive permanent, positive, and significant impacts on student achievement through Marzano High-Reliability Schools (HRS).

FOUR of our schools chose to push forward this year for their Level 3 and Level 4 certification!

Level 3 certification means the school focuses on developing a guaranteed and viable curriculum. The work at this level ensures teachers have the time they need to teach the curriculum, and all students, no matter the teacher to whom they are assigned, have access to the same high-quality curriculum.

At Level 4 of the Marzano HRS framework, schools shift from a whole-school perspective to an individual student perspective. Staff work to develop an effective system of grading and reporting and closely monitor each learner’s progress using assessment data.

Join us in congratulating Jefferson Elementary, Dickinson ND, Roosevelt Elementary, and Dickinson Middle School for achieving Level 3 and Heart River Elementary for achieving Level 4!

We look forward to next year as our schools push for Level 4 and Level 5 certification!
