The K-8 Roughrider Virtual Academy hosts first-ever Theme Day

Teacher and students doing activities outside

The K-8 Roughrider Virtual Academy hosted its first-ever Theme Day centered around A Love for Literacy during the first week in October.

At this event, students and staff kicked off the month with literacy activities centered around the Positivity Project's character strengths of: Curiosity, Teamwork, Open-Mindedness, and The Other People Mindset: Being Present. With this theme, the Roughrider team played games, made crafts, spent time inside and outside, and built a "Love of Literacy" by gathering a variety of books, books, and more books!

The academy looks forward to hosting monthly theme days throughout the year to provide an opportunity to strengthen relationships and build a community outside of the traditional classroom.

The next Theme Day will be November 2nd!
