Welcome to the Roughrider K-8 Virtual Academy!
Thank you for your interest in Roughrider K–8 Virtual Academy (RRVA)! We are proud to provide students with a flexible, high-quality online learning option within Dickinson Public Schools.
To ensure success in our program, all families must complete a short readiness screener before enrollment is finalized. This helps us understand your child’s needs, learning style, and readiness for virtual learning.
1. Complete the Screener
- Please note: Students may only begin RRVA at the start of a new semester. Mid-semester transfers are not available.
- If you would like to refer a learner to the K-8 Roughrider Virtual Academy, please complete the Student Referral & Readiness Screener.
- After completing, a staff member will reach out to review results and discuss next steps for enrollment
2. Connect with a Staff Member
- After the screener, a staff member will contact you to review the results and discuss next steps.
- If the learner meets eligibility requirements and there is space in the program, enrollment will be granted with a start date at the following semester.
3. Finalize Enrollment Forms
- Work with the Central Administrative Office to complete the placement process.
- If the learner is currently enrolled in a DPS face-to-face setting, an Official Transfer Request must be submitted.
4. Attend Onboarding Training
- Parent/guardian and learner must participate in a face-to-face onboarding training session prior to the semester start.
