Learning Beyond the Screen
Discovery Days are designed to be more than just a change of scenery. They provide students with opportunities to build relationships, discover their strengths, explore future possibilities, and experience hands-on learning that complements their online education. We love creating experiences that spark curiosity and help students see how their education connects to the world around them.
Through partnerships with Dickinson State University, the CTE Academy, and other community organizations, we create engaging experiences that bring learning to life. Students may explore STEM, art, career and technical education, community resources, and so much more.
Depending on the activity, students may work with peers in different groupings, giving them opportunities to meet new people and learn alongside students with shared interests.
At Roughrider Virtual Academy, we believe the best learning experiences happen when students have opportunities to learn, create, connect, and discover; both online and in their community.
