"The Look of Success"

This is the reaction of  Jacob, who was one of our students.

He was informed that he had passed his GED.  He had worked hard on the test and was excited and relieved that he was done.

This could be you!

GED

GED materials for preparation are available at the Dickinson Adult Learning Center.  Math, science, social studies, writing and reading are the parts of the GED.  Along with preparation books and discussion groups, predictive tests are available.  There is a limited number of times predictive  tests will be given, so careful preparation is essential.

There is no charge for the time spent preparing for the GED.  Materials can be purchased or "borrowed" with a refundable deposit for materials returned in good condition.  These charges range from $5.00 to $15.00.

Instruction for the GED is done on an individual basis.  Each student determines his or her own pace to achieve the GED goal.  Unlike the traditional school setting, success is determined by the student.  Progress is equal to the amount of energy and time spent by the student.  There are no requirements for attendance, homework, or time spent.  YOU determine your own progress.

When there are several students working on the same material, instructors may form a study group.  Students helping students is a good way to learn.  The only required class is the Pre-Finals Class.  GED candidates must complete all the necessary GED paperwork and make sure that they are prepared for the tests.

Contact the Dickinson Adult Learning Center for additional information.  Call 456-0008 or stop in at 336 5th Street West, just north of Hagen Jr. High and west of Hartfiel Inn Bed and Breakfast.  Improve yourself and your earning power.
