Notes from the Principal:
We have passed the halfway point in the school year. It doesn’t seem possible that the year is going by so quickly.
We have had 29 new students register at Lincoln and 41 students transfer since the start of school in August.
Requests for teachers at Lincoln will be due in April. More information will be included in the March newsletter.
What’s going on at Lincoln?
Pre-Service Teachers
We have one pre-service teacher in our building for the spring semester. Ms. Hutzenbiler has been assigned to Mrs. King’s 3rd grade classroom.
Super Bowl Sack Lunch
On Friday, February 3rd, the kitchen staff will be serving their annual Super Bowl Sack Lunch.
Wear your favorite team jerseys to support your teams, and bring your stadium blankets as we will be sitting on the gym floor (football field).
Donuts for Dad, Muffins for Mom
The LPAC is inviting all parents or special friends to “Muffins for Mom”, and “Donuts for Dad”. February 9 and 10, from 7:30-8:15 A.M., PAC will be serving muffins, coffee, and juice to Moms or special friends and their children. On February 16 and 17 from 7:30-8:15 A.M., PAC will be serving donuts, coffee, and juice to Dads or special friends and their children. Please come and join your child for a special time to visit and have breakfast.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for children turning 5 before August 1st, 2012, will be held February 6-10 from 7:30-4:30 at the CAO. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records to registration. Parents may find the forms online at:

You will need to fill out the following forms:
Family Residency Form
Language Survey Form
Student Registration Form
Alert Now Form
They will need to be returned in person or by mail to the CAO along with a birth certificate and immunization form.
Early Release Days
Students will be released from school at 1:30 P.M. on the days listed below. This time will be used for professional development opportunities for school district personnel.

Bits and Pieces……..
Lifetouch pictures are scheduled for Thursday, February 16th.
The annual Spring Fling and Dessert Night will be held in March or April. More information will be sent home later.
Grandparent’s and Special Friend’s Day is scheduled for April 5th. Please have grandparents join us for a morning of bingo, classroom visits, and coffee and cookies served in the library.
