Volunteer Opportunities
The Early Childhood Center offers volunteer opportunities to parents/guardian, and the general community. Training is provided and volunteers also sign a Confidentiality Agreement. Volunteering is an important part of our program and is a benefit to children as well as enhancing parent involvement and community support. Volunteer time is needed to make up the 20% match required for Federal dollars received for Head Start funding.
There are many different ways of volunteering such as:
Assisting in the classroom
Bus supervising
Assisting with nutrition responsibilities
Helping staff with special projects
Volunteering on a committee
Working on site as a TANF recipient
School and/or college related practicum and internships
Provide training for staff and parents/guardians
Sponsoring a fund raising event
Making a donation
Helping with recruitment and public relations
